Back to Basics

After the huge success of Frankie & The Heartstrings live DJ set, noizu is back !! We're going back to basics bringing the best in new music. Resident noizu DJ's will each be bringing their own genre of music tastes to the table. Expect to hear the best in electro, indie, dubstep and a few classics for good measure. So come along and party with us........Saturday 5th March @ Osbournes (bar behind Van Mildert Durham). Expect scences of an adult nature (no smut) and good times !!! See you there folks .

Homegrown....

Frankie and The Heartstrings are a five piece band from Sunderland. You might have seen them supporting The Futureheads on tour, you might have seen them at a festival or you might not have seen them at all - either way you’re bound to love them. Their mix of quick fire wit and smart indie pop combines with a soppy sentimental heart and romantic sensibility to make for a quintessentially British indie band.

Noizu are proud to join forces with the band for a live DJ set @ Osbournes bar (behind Van Mildert Durham)

............... The noise is set to go up a notch. Get involved !!

Big sorry from noizu

As the blog shows we ain't been keeping up as late (technical difficulties)!! A lot has been going on in noizuworld....

Movember was a huge success. Facial hair at it's best. Great turn out. And also the important bit...... Money and awareness was raised for the event.

December we stepped up a gear. The Castells played live. Packed to the rafters not a dry mouth in the house.

.....So after the festive season (and a drunken one it was) we've recharged our batteries and are back........ LETS PARTY !!

Ps....... Massive thanks to The Castells, Peter Warrier, Rob Oxley and DJ "shit lips" Mr Chris Parkes

....... And also a big thanks to everyone who came along and got involved !!

Keep it up !!

Noizu present........ Frankie and the Heartstrings

Ready to start feeling all gooey about homegrown grassroots indie? I know, it's been a while, right?

Frankie And The Heartstrings are the excellent Sunderland band who've been putting the lead back in the pencil of proper indie fans up and down this fair nation - a yellsome clatter here, a horsed Geordie swoon.

Noizu will host Frankie and the Heartstrings live DJ set @ Osbournes Durham.

......... Get ready for a party !!
